"Sumiyaki Choja Baba Rock" is a robatayaki and sashimi tavern, just a walk away from Takadanobaba Station. Open for 14 years since July 2012, it has been beloved by a wide range of generations, from local students to neighborhood workers.

Featuring robatayaki grilled right in front of you, seafood dishes like yellowtail and sea bream rice, and our signature "Gaburi Chicken (whole grilled chicken)", we offer dishes that pair perfectly with drinks. We also take pride in our selection of sake, allowing you to relax and enjoy everything from seasoned rice in an iron pot to a final closing drink.

About our restaurant name

We named it "Baba Rock" (derived from Takadanobaba Roku-ku) in hopes of making the restaurant and neighborhood as glamorous and vibrant as the once-flourishing entertainment district "Asakusa Park Roku-ku" (commonly known as Asakusa Roku-ku). It is also a double meaning with "ROCK".

*"Sumiyaki Choja" is based on a folktale about a charcoal maker who finds a gold mine and becomes wealthy.
